Nepal Buddhist Sculptures 3D Model Collection
This project is a collection of digital 3D objects ‘’called assets‘’ inspired by Nepalese Buddhist sculptures.
A 3D asset is essentially a reusable digital object that can be placed into video games, virtual environments, or visual scenes—similar to how photos or illustrations are used in graphic design.
The goal of this project was to explore how modern AI can be used to create detailed 3D models and then optimize them for real-time use. I generated high-detail models using AI based on real photo references, refined their shapes, simplified the geometry for performance, and created custom materials and textures so the models could be used efficiently in interactive applications.
The entire process—from first reference images to a published asset pack—took about two weeks, showing how AI can significantly speed up the creation of themed 3D asset libraries while still maintaining professional quality.
- AI made it possible to create 1–3 fully prepared 3D models per day, including optimization and texturing
- High-quality photo references were essential for accurate AI generation
- Human adjustments were still necessary for shape correction, cleanup, and quality control
- The project proved that AI can significantly speed up asset production, but final quality
depends on manual refinement
