SCHOOL FOYER
Is the school's project, which lasted several months, aimed to renovate the current school foyer. The brief included the required 3D realisation of the space and the creation of product renderings, which were then inserted into
a promotional brochure and A2 information poster. These materials were then printed and used to present the work, along with the brochure.
The aim of the project was to create a school foyer in a particular style, focusing on the functionality and aesthetics of the space. I chose an 80's style, aligned with functionalism and eastern minimalist style. The goal was to merge the interior with the exterior using botanicals and create a quiet space for short-term relaxation.
Three main colours (green, white and light natural wood) are used in the foyer. The green and white colours aim to create a feeling of safety, confidence and calm. The middle part of the foyer is separated by a wooden step, which is mainly intended for visitors to the school, such as parents
of students or people interested in studying. This space is also separated
by wooden boards in a horizontal direction, which can be manipulated to create either a transparent wall or a clear wooden wall that can be further manipulated from left to right. The aim of this wall is to separate the rest area with the passage space between the main door and the stairs leading to the classrooms.
Next to the windows there are additional wooden boards on which one can sit comfortably as there are comfortable cushions attached to them. There are gas heaters under the seating areas which are switched on in winter to generate heat. This space is located all around the foyer and the goal was to create additional seating, which is largely lacking in the school due to the number of classes and students. The top of the windows are frosted glass to soften the look of the room.
The upper part of the windows is made of frosted glass and here climbing plants are added to create a pleasant atmosphere. The middle part of the foyer remains empty to allow easy passage and create space for various activities and presentations.
Overall, the goal of the project was to create a modern and aesthetically pleasing space that serves as a central place in the school where students and visitors can meet and relax. Functionality, aesthetics, and comfort were major factors in the design and implementation of the project.
